If i get stoped by police and they call immigration can i get deported to mexico? My husband is a resident.i did the I-130. its been about almost 4yrs and i got the acceptense for the visa already but im worry because i dont have a license and i have 2 small childern.can u please tell what well happen if immigration gets a hold of me. |

You can only get deported if you are convicted of a crime, like stealing or doing something illegal. If you get stopped by the police and you haven't done anything wrong, there is nothing to fear. However since laws are constantly changing, this can depend. By already having a visa and small children, it's very unlikely you'll get deported.
People are only deported if they do something stupid and the police finds out they are in the country illegally. Remember that as an immigrant you have rights, and the police just can't deport people just to deport them! It's very unethical! You should be perfectly fine if you're a good citizen and follow the laws. Good luck!
