Maried to citizen Im married to an american citizen, he owes $30.000 child support arrears, $6.000 income tax and he is on food stamps, will that affect the immigration spousal petition? he is petitioning me but im not sure about the affidavit, if he has to prove he can support me will it affect with him owing government so much money? |

They will ask for that money he owns, but with the way economy is could be aceptable for them if he demostrate he will pay sometime in the future; will be better if he can get a good sponsor, someone who can say he support him to support you, also I suggest you get a good sponsor depending on the situation you are here, what is your status?
